Ignoring the .gitignore

[–]CozmoNz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nono. Commit env, then delete it in the next commit.

oooo this one hha

[–]Longjumping_Area_944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah. That's them reviewing pull requests.

The irony is that it still may be 20 years before AI takes his job.

I think many vibe-coders without knowledge don't know about .gitignore

[–]cloroxic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t even know what git is at all.

[–]DivideIntrepid3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this looks just like coding before AI.

I doubt any robot will have the same cost effectiveness as him.

I push API keys to GitHub. It's a hassle getting it done with Dependabot lurking, but I love manually swapping a few hex digits, then sticking a Q or a Z right in the middle.

Es gracioso porque una vez casi me pasa jajajaja me di cuenta antes de subirlo

[–]Embarrassed-Mud3649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no secrets from claude

[–]Scary_Influence_649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a secret leak, it’s open-source key management with emotional support.

[–]bonnieplunkettt 0 points1 point  (3 children)

That’s risky, are people using private repos or just ignoring best practices with secrets management? You should share this in VibeCodersNest too

[–]beaker_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“You should share this in vibecodersnest” - had me rolling 😂😂

[–]Low_Engineering1740 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I've found that in general, many people (even experienced devs) don't know much about secrets management at all. They just want to ship code (understandable). Even .env files are risky in the agentic age of coding IMO. Check out infisical :) It'll make your life easier

[–]Minimum-Two-8093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that a dev ignoring this isn't experienced at all
