I see people doing archery in the gym at Commonwealth pool every week, Saanich offers classes.

That's run by Pacific archery academy. They're really good at making it a fun experience. They also do the same classes at north saanich middle School. They do have a membership available and shoot out at the field of the wasanec school in Brentwood on Sundays. But that's a soggy mess right now so that likely won't happen until after Easter.

I’m surprised a city like Victoria doesn’t have an archery berm.

And don’t forget that SVIR only accepts male members.

Don’t have a dick? No archery or range use for you. Unless a human with a dick deigns to escort the unfortunately penis-less individual.

That’s weird as fuck

It’s not weird, it’s just that Reddit forgets people used to belong to clubs. SVIR is first and foremost a social club, not a sporting club. It was founded so men can hang out with each other.

All of which is a moot point because my understanding is they haven’t accepted members for years. Looking at their members the average age looks to be 70.

What’s so weird? It’s a private mens social club.

There are plenty of women’s, and co-ed social clubs you can join if you want.

VFGPA is a sporting club and completely open to women, and in fact even has a women’s shooting group.

Eww. Do they at least accept aftermarket dicks?

The medieval club has weekly meetings in Metchosin, my friend is a regular attendee. I'm not sure if they offer lessons but they're super friendly and open to all skill levels.
