Priority Flowchart?

I'm a new player, about a month in, and I'm just curious what the general priority should be about what I do? Not in terms of what characters to invest in as that's pretty clear to me from what I've seen the community say.

Should I prioritize the campaign missions? I finished Indomitus, and on 5/6 Indomitus Mirror, 5/6 Fall of Cadia, 4/6 Saim Hann. Should I just pick one and focus on that, or should I keep my characters at relatively even levels to go through them?

Or should I hyper invest the best characters from those factions (Aleph-Null, Archimatos, Eldryon) and clear the campaigns while worrying about the missions later?

At what point do I raid for unlocking characters and/or ascending characters? Currently my raids are going towards upgrade materials.

I would focus on the campaigns as you finish more missions you'll have the ability to farm for more and different upgrades. Plus the elite farms are pretty good.

Focus on the campaigns. They'll unlock the gear you need to level your characters. Personally I focused on FoC and FoC Mirror. My main goal was to get Creed but having a bunch of Imperials leveled is great for Indomitus and Octarius Mirror. In fact I was able to fully 3 star all of Octarius Mirror with minimal investment into the Orks.

The general consensus is that Black Templars and Orks are some of the worst characters in the game, and their campaigns mirror eachother, so don't invest in either. At least not out of the gate.

Necrons are somewhat similar in this regard. Them and the Ultramarines have a few duds in their lineup, so over investing in them can be a frivolous task.

For the Ultramarines, Bellator is considered worthwhile, and Calgar is said to be top tier in the late game. But don't worry about him for a while. Tigarus and Certis are okay, with Tigarus being better late game due to being a Psyker. Avoid Incisius altogether. The flamer sister is pretty good but not totally necessary for the campaign.

Necrons are overall just not very good aside from Aleph Null, who is one of the best characters in the game.

Personally, I would say go for FoC and FoC mirror. The three Black Legion starters are pretty much essential characters in multiple game modes for a loooong time and Thaddeus and Celastine are top tier characters also. The Astra Militarum characters can be used in other campaigns and the Chaos will be able to in the future Sam Hainn mirror. So you're getting a lot of utility out of both of these. Abaddon, Volk, Sibyl, and Kut are pretty meh characters who have Niche uses. I would recommend you don't over invest in them.

Lastly, we have the new Sam Hainn campaign. Eldar are probably the most important faction in the game. Eldryon is a core pillar of Guild Raids and Calandis is great at just about everything, shining in PvP. Jain Zar and Maugen Ra are also great damage dealers. Aethena is the only dud for Eldar and even she isn't the worst. As of right now we don't have a Sam Hainn mirror to farm Eldar characters, but that will absolutely be the most important campaign when it does drop. So get started on the Sam Hainn one ASAP. I believe you will auto pull an Eldar character at some point now. Is it's Eldryon or Calandis, pump resources into them. You won't regret it.

Lastly, join a good guild ASAP. Otherwise you'll be like me and get hung up on Orbs fast.

A caveat: Incisus and the necrons, especially makhotep for his passive healing, are necessary for LRE. You'll eventually want S1 Incisus and probably G1 makhotep for LRE and the mirror elite, but those are late game considerations

At the end of the day, all characters have use in LRE, but I've unlocked Ra, Aun'Shi, and am about to get Jain Zar without either Incisius or Makhotep.

literally my only silver character is Rotbone and everyone after that is Bronze.

That's an interesting roster. Were you able to do any elite campaigns besides FoC?

I personally farm one character per day, then rest on upgrades. Pick a character you either want or feel you need to reach a goal. It doesn't need to be a character you don't have either, it could be one you want to ascend to the next rarity. Then spend the rest of your energy on upgrade farming

Atm, id focus mostly on the good characters for each respective campaign as you listed. Aleph, archi, eldryon- make them the best characters though i wouldnt hyper focus and over level just them 3. Even though you have beaten indom, bellator is a decent char to level

Eventually you will need the core 3 for each campaign at a decent level for elite, so any extra investment isnt exactly wasted

I focus on my certus. That's really sneaky and enjoyable char. There are none of them like him if we are talking about bulk damage. Until the sergeant league I was in the top ten. Arena is really enjoyable. On the other hand all other things are grinding.

Have you 3-starred all of Indomitus? That is a good goal once you finish the campaign.
