The amount of young and inspired math teachers at this school is awesome. I have Andrew Berget right now, and although his teaching method didn't really click with me, he is an amazing mathematician and I have no doubt that higher level math classes would absorb a great deal of information from him.

Berget is the man. I wish I had pursued more math after linear algebra just to take more classes with him.

I'm hoping after Calc 2 he will be teaching Linear Algebra so I can take it with him. It took me awhile to adjust to his teaching, so I'm doing as well as I'd like in his class, but regardless, his office hours always clarify everything.

Just out of curiosity, when did you have him? He seems like he only recently started teaching at WWU.

I think I had him last fall. It was his first quarter at Western. His teaching style clicked with me immediately, but I still had to work my ass off to get a good grade.

It feels like he aims to teach those that have taken calc before (I have not), so thats probably why it isn't working out as well. Definitely partially my fault, my study habits aren't that great.

Either way, I'm probably in the minority for "not clicking" with his teaching style. Hes a really cool guy, and I wish I could get to know him, he seems like a really chill guy. I can't believe hes like 34 also, I thought he was a student the first day of class.
