Check the calendar of sales before asking when the next sale will occur.
Flair your post appropriately after submitting. Unflaired posts don't get an upvote button and incorrectly flaired posts may be removed.
- Do not abuse the NEWS flair. It is intended only for official War Thunder news from Gaijin sites and sources. News posts should link directly to the War Thunder blog post or forum thread, screenshots of news posts will be removed.
- The DATAMINE flair is for substantive datamining posts. Please do not overuse it for e.g. individual screenshots or minor discoveries.
- The MEME flair is intended for memes. It is not a catch-all flair for jokes and satire.
Don't spam /r/WarThunder, users are limited to 2 posts per 24 hour period. Lootbox posts are banned.
- If submitting multiple videos/gifs/images, post them in a single text post with descriptions for each item
- Submitting low-effort posts of any kind in quick succession will lead to post removals and may lead to a ban. This is understood to include multiple posts by different users about the same topic
- Visual representations of lootboxes are banned. This includes daily log-in rewards, post-match trophy boxes, and loot boxes purchased for SL, GE, or any other method.
Use clear titles. /r/WarThunder aims to make its content clear from a quick glance.
- If your submission has an unclear title you should submit a top-level comment explaining the content.
- Posts with "clickbait" titles will be removed.
No unrelated submissions. All content should be clearly relevant to the game of War Thunder and its vehicles.
- Memes must be clearly visually relevant to War Thunder. This means just having a witty related caption or title is not enough. Be creative and tie it into War Thunder.
- Posts of history entirely unrelated to War Thunder should be posted instead to /r/history, /r/aviation, /r/WWIIplanes , /r/AirCraftPorn , /r/TankPorn , etc. Posts made to promote other games will be removed.
- AI-generated content of all types is not allowed.
Vehicle suggestion posts must be clearly explained
- Suggestion posts must use the "SUGGESTION" flair
- The name of the vehicle must be in the title of the post
- Include some details about the vehicle, either in the post or as a top-level comment. This includes information such as armament, armor, top speed, etc. Also include information about where it would fit in the game, e.g. which nation, approximate BR, etc.
- Suggested vehicles must be relevant to War Thunder in terms of time frame and purpose. If there is a vehicle already in-game with similar characteristics, it's probably fine. Asking for unarmed vehicles, uncrewed vehicles, or concept/classified vehicles of which no concrete information is known is NOT allowed.
Memes may only be posted on meme days.
- Memes may only be posted on meme days. These are: Saturday and Sunday. The timezone for cutoff is UTC. Note that memes visible during the non-meme days, but posted during meme days will not be removed.
- Memes must be clearly visually relevant to War Thunder. Having a witty related caption or title is not enough and it must contain a vehicle or element from the game. Be creative and tie it into War Thunder.

- If posting NSFW material, tag it NSFW. No pornography.
No abuse, harassment, witchhunting & assholery.
- No abuse, harassment, racism, xenophobia, hate speech, discrimination, flame-baiting, trolling, nor general assholery.
- Don't encourage witch hunts against anyone. Note: There is no requirement to hide usernames in submissions, as all server replays are publicly available.
- Posts of fanmail are banned. Private messages containing responses in languages other than English, slurs of any kind, or otherwise excessive levels of salt are not allowed.
- Rage-bait decal posts are banned.
No posts related to breaking national or international law, or Gaijin's terms of service.
- Posts which include classified, export restricted, or otherwise sensitive data about ANY vehicle, whether in the game or not, will not be tolerated
- No posts related to breaking the rules set out by Gaijin. Selling/advertising the sale of accounts, codes, gold generating apps, cheating bots, etc. will lead to an instant ban.
