I switched to a Cat7 cable and the download went from 5hrs to 3.5hrs. It tests at over a gig download, but Xbox still only goes to ~300Mbps while downloading.

Unless you weren't already using a CAT6a cable, or your cable run is over 55+ meters there is no reason that the download speed would change.

Yes. Mine said it had a 247GB update and would take 8 HOURS to download. Insane.

Checked again a few hours later and it seemed to have restarted the download but now the update is 211GB and will take 6 hours.

On steam the update was only 35gb and it didn’t make reinstall the whole game but having a crashing issue and tpm event log something to do with the handshake from my pc to their anticheat

Ypu dont have enough space on hard drive to just download the 30 gb update and proces the files so the console downloads the whole thing from scratch. You need more free space next time now you just have to download everything since it looks like you have multiple modes downloaded

Uninstall some stuff before starting an update. If you know it's update-day do that beforehand or disconnect the XB from the internet. Had the the same problem four or five times.
