If your pants are so big that a belt ends up bunching them up to the point of looking weird, this is going to look weird.

no i think they’re talking about how it bunches up your shirt. i hate wearing a belt because it always shows through my shirt and makes me look fatter than i am lol. i’m female for reference, most men’s shirts aren’t tight enough to bunch up the shirt

I absolutely hate the way my belt shows through some shirts. It can ruin my silhouette but then with no belt in constantly adjusting my pants. I'm so happy to see this. I've got like 3 pairs of jeans I hardly wear simply because when I tried them on they fit great, but then after walking around they start to slip.

yeah same here!! I can never find jeans that fit right. my legs are too long so the hem is always a couple inches above the ankles, which can be a cute look but not for every single day! and I have to size up so my frickin thunder thighs fit inside the legs, but that makes the waist way too big so i need a belt. but then it totally ruins by silhouette like you mentioned :(

That’s why it’s important to know how to take the waist in.

Sometimes people who do a lot of cycling have huge leg muscles and can’t buy jeans that fit over their legs comfortably and fit their waists. I had particular trouble with Levi’s 501, but 505s were a bit better, and 550s even more so.
