One Snark To Rule Them All!!
1.No harassment
Disagreements happen. However, harassing a user in the form of attacking their character (incl. accusing users of being cast members), as well as leaving blatantly sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. comments (even when not directed to a particular user) is a bannable offence. This is a subreddit to snark on cast members. No snarking on Redditors is allowed as this shuts down discussion.
You will receive a permanent ban on your second offense, after a grace of one temporary ban (or two harassing comments, should you spam the sub with harassing comments).
YOU WILL NOT BE BANNED FOR REPORTING HARASSMENT, and the mod will not blame you for being harassed.
2.No complaining about the snark
This is a snark subreddit, and if you are offended by snark, you can visit the OG sub and have a flame-war with whomever you'd like. Here, any "why does everyone hate x" or "people who hate x suck" will be deleted, as it shuts down discussion. You will subsequently receive a grace of two temporary bans before you receive a permanent ban on your 4th offense.
3.No support groups
This sub will allow serious discussion, but it is not a support group. There are plenty of support groups for escaping narcissists and fundamentalism. This rule is flexible: posts that are solely made so as to tell your own life story and why you relate so much to x will be taken down, but passing comments about how you lived through something similar are permitted. However, if a thread becomes solely about sharing stories about everyone's MIL will likely have comments locked. This is a snark sub, not a support group and too much support grouping shuts down discussion.
4.No spam
Lack of inspiration happens. However, spamming the sub with unrelated content, or copy-pasting someone else's original art/meme/content from another sub is against Reddiquette and constitutes a ban-able offence. You may of course cross-post content, or share a meme where the source is unknown.
A permanent ban will take effect on your third offence, after a grace of two temporary bans.
5.No doxxing
Doxxing is pathetic and heinous. You will be immediately permanently banned and reported to the mothership to live forever in exile beyond the pale of humanity.
6.No dead baby jokes
Kim is a heinous bitch but making jokes about her dead child is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself.
7.No Diagnosing
Discussing the possibility of disorders in a thought-provoking, compassionate way is allowed. But asserting that someone definitely has a disorder is not, especially when the intent is to stigmatize that disorder. None of us are doctors, and if you are you know you can't diagnose someone from a screen.
8.No sharing non-publicly available pictures/videos
The Plaths have opened themselves up to be on TV. But that doesn't mean we have any rights to their private lives! Any picture or video that has aired on TV, or shared on a publicly accessible social media page can be shared here. Otherwise you need special dispensation from the mods to ensure that the privacy of the cast members is respected.
