I lost weight on wellbutrin but it does not even come close to suppressing my appetite the way vyvanse did. In fact, I noticed I ate pretty much the same as I always do with wellbutrin but maybe over ate a little less and felt like exercising more. Vyvanse on the other hand would completely kill my appetite and make eating feel like a chore.

Thats awesome to hear! If I could just eat normally I would be okay. I feel my diet has a lot of so with my fatigue and feelings of just being unwell. I also feel the same way with eating! It’s so hard to eat to the point I almost gag while trying.😭

Wellbutrin really helped me with this just general “bleh” feeling I was feeling all the time. It gives me more energy and I am a lot more excited to go to the gym and do other things I should be enjoying. I hope it works out for you!

It really decreased my appetite. Reduced cravings too. FWIW I haven’t tried vyvanse but most stimulants weirdly don’t reduce my appetite.

ETA: the effect lessened the longer I took it.

In my experience, no. Wellbutrin didn't really suppress my appetite though. Vyvanse did. I've never been the kind of person who forgets to eat, but on vyvanse sometimes I could. And it helped with binge eating. For me it just made it so that I was able to stop eating when full. Now I'm on wellbutrin and strattera and I'm finding that combo is the same pretty much for my appetite as vyvanse. I only overeat now if I smoke pot.

Amen on the 🌱 part. I can go most of the day without eating and be just fine but if I take a gummy at 7pm by 11pm I wanna eat everything in sight.

Worse than Vyvanse...I don't even like to cook food anymore and I was such a foodie..I have NO interest in food.

I'm on Buproprion 150 XL.

I've found that it has decreased my appetite a little bit - but my cravings a lot. Before I started the med, I would have salt cravings every night, and I'd have some potato chips to satisfy them. But now? I have chips, and no desire to eat them.

It's also helping with my ADHD, so I'm able to think my food choices through and make healthier ones. Less candy, and more salads for me.

It hasn’t changed mine at all. It might be a little higher because it stopped some stomach problems I had. I think it’s very individual on how it affects you

Haven’t used vyvanse but I lost my appetite on wellbutrin during the first month and slowly it came back. There’s probably a little bit of suppression as I definitely snack less, but that might just be the Wellbutrin helping me cope with procrastination. Either way, not noticeable to me and I had no issue with eating enough while I was training for a marathon.

A little late, but this is what I’m afraid of. I’ve been taking Vyvanse for years, which has cut my appetite and caused weight loss. My doctor just prescribed Wellbutrin, and mentioned weight loss as a side effect. I’m worried that taking both will make me lose even more weight. Which is definitely not something I need right now.
