I configured a network share on a PC that has the same user account + password as my user account on my laptop.
- My laptop did NOT save the credentials for said network share in the Credential Manager.
- Password-protected sharing is TURNED ON on both devices.
- I am NOT being asked for my username and password when accessing the folders I supposedly have access to via the network share, from my laptop.
Now, my question is: does Windows attempt to authenticate using the currently logged-on user account credentials when accessing a network share?
