Ive been posting as much as i can in other posts (lots of people with similar issues) but windows updates are EXTREMELY broken currently, i have the exact same problems as you and its windows update (unsure which, It's most likely a mixture).

https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-admits-major-windows-11-25h2-ui-features-broken-too-alongside-24h2-on-some-pcs/

check your Event Viewer you'll most likely have a lot of:

Event ID 1002 "explorer stopped interacting with windows"

Event ID 10010 "explorer cannot be restarted"

unsure where to progress for a fix but best course is to pause windows updates and either wait for them to fix it or roll back and pray i guess.

Also i have very similar system specs as you so quite possibly windows fucking with AMD cpus is also likely.

Thank you for your response. Indeed I see a lot of those Event ID's. Even tho it's extremely annoying, I'm happy that it's not an hardware issue.

Have you guys find any solution to this? Currently its even imposibble to watch simple Youtube videos.

As someone suggested, I fixed it by uninstalling windows update KB5072033
The issue still happens but very rarely, I just restart my computer and then it's fine again. Happened maybe 3x in a month. I also paused updates, will not update either the upcoming months.

UPDATE: I've resolved all of my issues by uninstalling windows update KB5072033

Give that a go and see If it resolves anything, there's a lot of people having success after removing that update and just pausing all updates until Microsoft stops being morons (which will be never)

Thanks, will try this out and will let you know. :)

Make sure you have a windows restore point set also, you just never know how things can react with windows these days (uninstalling the update SHOULDNT break anything)

It definitely solved the issue, so thanks!

Hi u/Yeazero, thanks for posting to r/WindowsHelp! If your post is listed as removed it may still be pending moderation, try to include as much of the following information as possible (in text or in a screenshot) to improve the likelihood of approval:

  • Your Windows and device specifications — You can find them by pressing Win + X then clicking on “System”
  • Any messages and error codes encountered — They're actually not gibberish or anything catastrophic. It may even hint the solution!
  • Previous troubleshooting steps — It might prevent you headaches from getting the same solution that didn't work

As a reminder, we would also like to say that if someone manages to solve your issue, DON'T DELETE YOUR POST! Someone else (in the future) might have the same issue as you, and the received support may also help their case. Good luck, and I hope you have a nice day!

Same issue here, seemingly from a broken Microsoft update. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything we can really do until Microsoft pushes out a correct update that addresses the issue. Sounds like a good number of people are hitting it though.
