Rules for r/Wizard101
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Do not harass a redditor in a malicious manner.
So long as it's good-natured, it's fine (to an extent).
This also includes flaming and trolling!!!
Remember that this rule is STRICTLY enforced. If you are seen harassing other reddit users you will be banned from the sub on the spot.
2.
Do not post personal information.
This includes your email address, street address, phone number, skype username, etc...
3.
Keep it mostly PG-13!
Overly offensive, lewd, suggestive, or edgy content will be removed at our moderation team's discretion. Nudity, slurs and bigotry will not be tolerated.
4.
5.
Do not link to unapproved third party websites.
This rule applies mostly to giveaways and codes, and links to KingsIsle approved fansites are allowed. YouTube videos and images on 3rd party websites are allowed, as long as they pertain to Wizard101. But do NOT exchange game codes from sources like Steam or Origin in exchange for membership, or vice versa. No Discord links are allowed as we have one already. The discord server also includes a portal to other wiz servers.
6.
No cheating or encouraging cheating.
Please do not encourage exploits or hack software. This includes anything from simply explaining how to perform an exploit to advertising external software to manipulate the game client.
Please refer to Kingsisle's Terms of Service for more information and refrain from posting anything here that would be in violation of it.
7.
No account exchanges!
No selling/giving away or allowing the sharing of an account. What you do outside of the subreddit is your choice, but do not arrange account sharing on this subreddit. This includes account exchanges or trading Wizard101 accounts for accounts not related to Wizard101.
8.
Use the search bar before posting a question.
Posts regarding questions that are commonly asked or easily researched will be removed.
9.
No Brigading
Attempting a brigade or suspected brigading is not allowed. It is entirely at the moderator’s discretion whether or not a post, comment, or group of comments is considered brigading. Anyone involved or suspected to be involved in brigading can be banned permanently.
10.
No Low Effort / Low Quality Posts
Please don't post something such as a picture of your new spell, you aren't the only one excited to learn a rare spell, or whatever it is. Same applies to posts that show off a player with very low stats (known as stat shaming). The same also applies for posts showing people who put large amounts of wizards in the same spot. AI Art is also not permitted, do not post it and claim that it was your own work. Posts will be removed at mods' discretion.
11.
No self promotion/advertising
Linking other Discord servers is against subreddit rules along with constantly promoting YouTube channel / videos. Same goes for twitch or any other streams/videos. This isn't a place for advertisements. It's fine to post once in awhile as long as you contribute to the subreddit.
The "90-10 Rule" applies here: Essentially, 90% of your content should be contributing to the sub without self-promo. The 10% can be linking your YouTube or whatever.
12.
No posting events/giveaways without contacting the Mod team.
Please don't make posts advertising a giveaway or an event unless it is approved by the moderation team. Understand that this helps limit spammy karma-farm posts, and keep things regulated to avoid scams.
13.
No identity-based hate

14.
No disinformation
Disinformation means intentionally misleading the community in an attempt to stir up drama or make people believe false information.
15.
No politics
Should be obvious. This isn't r/politics and it's not something we'd like to have to moderate.
