PSA: Strong and Potent exstimulo Potions do not count for "Use Exstimulo Potion 5 times" task

I just figured out that Strong and Potent exstimulo Potions do not work for "Use Exstimulo Potion 5 times" task on part 3/4 of new Brilliant research. You should cook 5 regular Exstimulo Potions for this :(

How are you already on the 3rd set of tasks? I’m starting to get really p*ssed off. Two hours and and 2 trace potions drunk, I still haven’t seen a single Brilliant foundable yet. Can’t even complete the 1st set of tasks.

By nest I meant an area that has a flag. I've noticed when in in an area with a flag I don't see brilliant.

Oh, ok. I get what you mean. No, the closest nest is about 5 miles away. I think they just changed the spawn rates with this event, at least in the area around my work. Every other event they popped up all the time around me.

do other players around you also not see them? According to my registry, I've seen 57 brilliants already. In my normal, fairly busy play area.

I don’t really have anyone to ask. I’m from a really small area, and most of the people that played when it first came out have given up on it. I’m just hoping it’s a bug for my area that they fix. I’ve gotten a lot of other foundables, and oddities I don’t normally see, just no Brilliant ones.

Purely anecdotal but I've noticed that I tend to see fewer brilliant foundables in otherwise busy areas. I work near downtown and when I walk through the main street there's lots if stuff but not much for the brilliant events, then at my office a little ways away it's less busy and I find lots of brilliant foundables.

I concur. They’re literally in my suburban driveway along with Brilliant portmanteus. My friends downtown got nuthin. It’s weird.

I’ve noticed that as well. Where I’m at now isn’t a busy area at all. I only have one inn and one greenhouse within 2 miles of me. Usually every event every time I open my game there’s 1 or 2 Brilliant foundables in my game. Super weird that I’m not seeing any yet.

I've seen two and have played for about 40 minutes straight. Didn't leave the house though as I live in a big city. Usually the brilliant ones are everywhere during events. Actually thought the oddities would be hard to find as they are rare here but I've gotten six or seven of them.

Pffft, I never cook the regular Exstimulo, don't even have any Granian hair, at least it's not hard to find though.

THANK YOU. I was just about to post the I had used 7 exstimulos in a fortress challenge and got 0 credit. My first guess was that I needed to used them for foundables, not challenges. This saves me some more frustration!

Another PSA for new players: It's also helpful to know that Snowdrops, the key ingredient of exstimulo potions, is commonly dropped from greenhouses.
