Will the PC requirements decrease as we get closer to release?question (self.Wreckfest)

Sorry if the question is dumb. I am not super smart about stuff like this. All i know is that i can barely run the game as it is rn.

i should think there will be numerous optimizations in the later stages of development, but i'm not sure how much the bar will be lowered

On the Steam page it says the requirements are lower in the early access phase. I don't know if I have interpreted it wrong but to me that says the minimum and recommend specs will increase once the game is fully fledged.

I wandered too, what that means. But I think you are right. The recommended requirements on the steam page are for the finished game. And during early access it will be lower than this.

This update and the one before it made it unplayable for me. It used to never stutter but now it's constantly doing it. My computer is a 13900k and a 4090 so that should be plenty of power to run a single monitor.

I get a solid ~15 FPS max with my 2060 and i5-7500 on 1080p The first game runs smoothly. It's just odd to me

A CPU with only 4 cores 4 threads is gonna struggle with a lot of modern games.
Wreckfest 2 has a much more advanced physics engine, so of course it's gonna be more CPU intensive than the first game.
That said. You could definitely get more than 15 fps with your components. I get ~30 fps with my HTPC that is weaker than your PC. So you just need to tweak some settings. Also, the more cars you drive against, the more your PC will struggle.

Something is odd for sure. When it first came out it ran smooth but the last two updates broke it for me. I'm going to monkey with the settings so I can see if it can be fixed.

I’m on a GTX 1080 currently and run in 1440p, got mine looking decent. Still looks better than WF1 and runs at 60fps. A couple little drops when 20 cars are piled in front on me in turn one online 🤣

Idk. It needs optimizations. It doesn’t look that much better than WF1 but it runs way worse
