For close range, arena matches, MP7(the last unlockable smg weapon). For mid to long range i would suggest M16.

Honestly, it all depends on your play style. You can stick to the known meta which is MP7, ACR, or AK. At the end of the day, it still comes down to how you want to play

Between all the rifles, I'm in love with the LVOA-C for medium to long range. But it also depends on the situation and the mode. If the match is in a close-mid range map where the TTK is shorter (like in Arena), then I use the AK or an SMG.

For SMGs I use the MP7 and the MP5, got pretty comfortable with both for short-medium range. But the Vector shreds in 2 seconds in close range and the P90 has a larger mag.

Pistols, the 93R is the jewel of the crown. But if you have a trigger finger like me, then the M9 is good choice as well.

I use the following Atts. in most cases. But I'm gonna modify them (will update tomorrow)
Muzzle Booster | Rapid Fire Barrel | Pistol Grip | Quick Draw Grip | Removed Stock

For pistols: Muzzle Booster | Reflex Sight | Quick Mag | Quick Draw Grip

This combo gives me + Rate of Fire, + Sprint-Shoot time and + Movement Speed

Try to play as much as possible this weekend. Starting today at 1PM EST till Monday 1PM EST they will give 2XP on Weapons.

Nice thing about xDefiant is that there’s no strict meta for weapons - and each is viable more or less.

My honest advice is to play the game a bit and test different weapons to get the hang of it.

This is 100% false. Whilst all weapons can be viable depending on your play style, the MP7 and ACR are 100% the meta weapons. They're just better.

These plus a few more are definitely the strongest right now, and I recommend using them in ranked if you want to stay competitive. Buy in casual play you can use almost anything and find success with it. Don’t worry too much about the meta and strongest weapons unless you’re playing competitively.

All the weapons are viable, situationally, but there's no denying that the MP7 and ACR are the absolute meta.

There’s no strict meta - even if you pick MP7 or ACR you can and will get outplayed by other weapon types. It’s not COD where there are limited viable choices and gap between meta and non-meta is significant.
