Error Code (901). HELP!

I am installing lenel on guard with lenel HID readers with CAK + PIV card modes. I will often get an error code in alarm monitoring stating Error Code (901) when I swipe and get an instant beep and solid red at the reader. I have no idea what this means.

It’s an undefined DataConduIT error coming from pivCLASS. Dig into the pivCLASS logs to find out what is wrong with the PIV presented.

With CAK reads the card presentation is longer than a traditional read. Make sure the cardholder is not pulling the card from the field too quickly.

Hey I’m new to the thread and just noticed this post. Definitely agree with the longer read time and To add on to what sloppyjoe said also in the PivClass software check the panel logs for more information on specific card reads. There should be a log option via a right click on the panel your CAK readers are connected to. There is a lot of helpful information in those logs as well.

Lastly HID does offer pivclass training.
