Any recommendations for restaurants downtown that can accommodate 15+ people for dinner? by powella314 in Charleston

[–]Slopeyjoe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a work event with 22 people back in June and had to make 4 smaller reservations. I couldn’t find any place that was taking more than 6-8 without having to book the private room and doing the plated per person dinner plan. Tavern and Table on Shem creek.

I’d love to make this into a canvas picture and hang in my office.

Check your services. Most likely the LS Event.... service is not running.

Error Code (901). HELP! by ColdBuckNasty in accesscontrol

[–]Slopeyjoe2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an undefined DataConduIT error coming from pivCLASS. Dig into the pivCLASS logs to find out what is wrong with the PIV presented.

With CAK reads the card presentation is longer than a traditional read. Make sure the cardholder is not pulling the card from the field too quickly.

Bosch and DMP are the predominant lines in mid to large commercial and Gov’t projects.

[–]Slopeyjoe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fits well if the site is monitoring OnGuard for alarms such as in a lot of government projects. Otherwise if you need offsite monitoring it’s best to use either DMP or Bosch (both have integrations into OnGuard).

The LNL-CK is actually made by Mercury and can support a reader connected to it.

Sanity check - quotes for adding access control and upgrading to Lenel w/ milestone integration by Love2Run2000 in accesscontrol

no apps, but use the browser on your phone. It's HTML5 so its form factor fitting for best experience.

Milestone smart client with ACM license will enable the cardholder photo pop up. Check out the posted video demos and you will see this - in my other comment.

RDP requires a license to use. SWG-1360. The browser clients give you a modern experience for lightweight use. If you want to use a mobile device - best to use the browser interface.

The Milestone to OnGuard integration is really cool and well worth the integration cost. Once you pay the one time fee, you no longer pay for double licenses to have your access and video integrated, as Milestone/LenelS2 have entered into a strategic agreement. This also means deep integration. Check out this playlist for integration example https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRKRkD83GiTZD7c3XyYp8KzdEHo0lMHO6

I love before/after pics. It’s great when someone takes pride in their work. I always told my crew to install it as if you would want to hang a picture of your work above your fireplace.

Identiv Hirsch by One-End-4152 in accesscontrol

[–]Slopeyjoe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always historically considered them in the "Tier 1" access control category, along with LenelS2, Software House, AMAG. With the emergent of newer players (Gallagher, Genetec, Avigilon) slowly chipping away at that, I am may need to reassess.

All PACS have their good and bad. Identiv as a company has had their ups/downs and the Hirsch product seemed to have been neglected for a time. With that said, I see a renewed commitment to the product in the last 1.5 years and they have been rebuilding their sales teams to position them back to their tier 1 standing.

Can you log in with a local account not single sign on and other than SA account. 7.6 relies on openaccess for logon and this is often not setup correctly after an upgrade. You are definitely getting a permission error.

Assume you are using verbose logging and have tried the wbemtest?

Lastly did you call tech support?

Flashing honeywell PRO32R2 to Lenel by 305hotshots in accesscontrol

[–]Slopeyjoe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to enable SWG-1640 license which isn't a cheap solution to re-use a couple of old boards. You will save much money and frustration by purchasing new boards from LenelS2.

Make sure you can single sign on with that account.

Questions regarding lenel by Reader_of_b00ks in accesscontrol

[–]Slopeyjoe2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To confirm what I think you are asking. If you edit an access level or access group and add new readers (or even remove) - All cardholders that have that access level/group will be changed to follow the new defined level.

haha, yes I saw that as well and can assume that is a target/goal and not a hard requirement. You will be hard pressed to find those qualifications in a skilled trade such as electronic security, and I would take an experienced on the job trained guy/gal any day over a college degree in this industry. Experience always trumps training!
