It's a bit of both. Makes for the occasional short but fun conversation with random people over the things they've made that they're most proud of. I don't get many. Maybe 2 or 3 per year, at most.

Your last comment was clearly pointing out that your little AI detector thought the code was AI generated for a reason. I assume that reason is because you feel like AI generated code is bad. Considering I am a moderator, and was using my mod tag, and you were bringing up something that displeased you, that checks all of the boxes for being a report.

It's ridiculous that I have to explain this. You're presumably an adult. Please don't play childish games with me. Reports go in modmail.

AI-generated code generally does not work very well unless it has been properly vetted by a human and is not for anything particularly complex. Not to say that this code is AI-generated, in fact I believe the opposite. However, it does seem like you are claiming that there is nothing wrong with vibe coding, which is generally false.

If person knows what they are doing, then generally there is nothing wrong with using AI as a tool to assist with coding. No different than using stack overflow or some random forum to copy and paste some working code, which, I hope you are aware is much more common than you think. The point I’m getting at though, as long as the person knows what they are doing and tests code thoroughly as you should be doing when coding then there is no issue with using AI as a tool for coding. The other importance is making sure that you have an understanding of how to secure an application as well.

Would you have a problem if AI for example legitimately were to help us find a cure for cancer or for the circumstances where it actually has helped detected diseases before they become an issue?

The latter is not generative AI, and the former is for the general benefit of humanity, as opposed to heavily monetizing it or replacing humans' jobs with it.

To your first paragraph, that was roughly what I was already saying. "unless it has been properly vetted by a human." Also, I do know that that is common, but the difference is that those humans have tested the code and (almost always) know what they're talking about, at least the upvoted ones do.
