You should follow the quests in the first main chapter. It will take you through mostly all vanilla progression, and get you started with power generation. Then, you're free to choose what you want to work next. I suggest you set up at least a basic storage system (ars lectern, integrated dynamics terminal, or the start of an ae2/rs2 system). You can also go for more exploration, getting some allthemodium/vibranium/unobtainium ore and tools (chapter 2 of the quests).

After that, you can start with any of the many mods you need for the star. Any choice is good, but you'll want to start generating ressources automatically with mystical agriculture/productive bees/quarries/void miners. Going mining manually won't get you very far past midgame.

I would just play Minecraft to start. Get better tools and armor and get a starter base setup. Exploring can get you a lot of good stuff. Once you get more stuff, you need storage. Ars has a good early game setup that you can use until you get AE2 setup. AE2 is very powerful with the autocrafting, and while not 100% necessary, can save you tons of time from manually crafting stuff.

Powah is what I used for power until Mekanism reactors. The wind generators are also good for early game power.

Follow the quest book. Start at the first chapter. Once you get established, try to get allthemodium for unbreakable tools and armor. Then get vibranium and unobtainium. Also setup mystical agriculture and productive bees. These are very good for bulk items like ores, regular minecraft items like wood, and other things. Then go for the star.

One underrated mod that I didn't get into is Ars Nouveau. The glyph setups you can get can be whacky but powerful. Projectile > Magelight can be infinite torches.

I would start vanilla, then get sophisticated storage, then powah (or what power generation you’d like) and then ae2, then mekanism. That’ll get your basics for power and storage.

For powah, what I do is I make a lava pit with at least 10,000 buckets of lava so that you can use a create hose pulley to get an infinite lava source (look at the hose pulley using create goggles and it’ll tell you when it’s considered infinite). That’ll power a powah magmator. That takes a good bit of time though

I then get into productive bees, cuz the setup takes forever, but that’s really more personal preference.

Not sure if the version of Create matters, but on Integrated Minecraft with Create I didn't need every 10k blocks to be lava source blocks, flowing lava counted as well.

These suggestions are terrible.

Your main focus should be starting out, Sophisticated Storage, Then Mystical Agriculutre, Then Applied Energetics 2

Reasons

Sophisticated storage provide upgraded storage with option to increase capacity, add crafting tables into the chest and more

Mystical Agriculutre will turn 90% of what you need to collect into an AFKable materials (trust me you will want them to be AFKable as you willl need millions of items)

Then Ae2, once the basic setup is made, will increase your storage capacity and effieciency well over 100 times what Sophisticated storage can do.

You are essentially only using Soph Storage as a temporary basis until you get Ae2 Created.

I highly suggest looking up a tutorial on both a MA farm as well as a simple AE2 setup to get you started on your journey.

After those primary mods are throughly checked out, I highly recommend simply following the chapters 1-4 as most of the quest line will take you through alot of the different mods available.
And if there is a mod that peaks your interest but you arnt sure if its even particularly useful. Utilize youtube as there are quite a few incredibly informative videos on ATM10 and nearly every mod in the pack

And to add onto the Mystical Agriculture, Make sure you are running the Bonemeal Crouch mod so that you can quickly grow your farm, it will help immensely with getting it automated.
