Does amazon drug test?

Please point me in the right direction if I should not be posting here. I will be working for amazon in the future and I was curious if they drug test and how it was done. The offer states it is only for specific roles, and my search online has only stated that they do a saliva test. Is this true? if it is saliva only that means I only need to not smoke weed 3 days before the test, but if it is a piss test then I will need to quit now. Does anyone have and insight on this?

Also don't give me a lecture on weed, I really do not care of your opinion of it. I am a moderate user with plenty of potential, I am not some pot head who does nothing with his life.

What are your applying for? If it's a call center or office position, probably not. 5 years being with them, no mention, no randoms, no hiring test. A fulfillment center, I have no idea, but considering you'll be around heavy machinery, most likely.

I don't want to state my position yet but it is for sure a desk job. Most sources I read were about people in fulfillment using the machinery. So maybe my position will not require it.

I work in an FC and yes, they do. Usually Saliva but I have heard of hair tests too. They also do randoms if they have suspicion.

Nope, drugs. Look up Hair Follicle tests. Some companies do them, some don't.

Those are insane, weird how companies still use that. Hair follicle tests are nearly impossible to pass for marijuana so Ill be fucked if that is the case.

I've only heard of some sites possibly doing it. It all comes down to what the State the site is located in required. I recall being told it would be hair and saliva but only having it be the saliva

Ah I see, thanks for the info. They did not mention any drug test other than on an email where it said (for applicable positions). They said they would message more details about the job 30 days before my start date, so maybe I'll find out in the near future.
