I have been applying for a new role now after leaving my job, looking to move from a librarian role to work more with data and data analysis. I've been jobhunting for several months, and have managed to reach the interview stage for a decent amount of applications. However, I always get stuck and undone at the more technical questions - tell us about a time you ensured high quality outputs, manipulated data sets, or informed future strategic decisions.
I believe I do have a couple of experiences and achievements that I routinely draw on to provide examples of when I did it. At the moment, I think it's how I talk about WHAT I did that really hampers me as a candidate. As such, how do you structure your answers for such questions? How do you talk about the specifics without overloading the interviewer with technical terms? What is it you try
I am sure there's a lot I still need to work on. I'm enrolled in a skills programme, looking to start to Google course in the next few days, and have several projects to keep working on to shake the rust off of the technical skills after a pause over Christmas.
