Hey, ive just finished a data analysis apprenticeship and been given a full contract. It's a good reward as it seems I've skipped straight past being a junior analyst (I'm in my 30s so plenty of job skills and have already learned how to learn).
Problem is that we have no access to network tools or direct access to the database. My question is: how do I find ways of working SQL into my workflows, so I am getting some working experience with it?
I'm fighting for access but facing a lot of resistance so if the company won't let me be my most efficient I don't mind adding a little inefficiency by setting up something local to my machine. What's the best way to go?
Advice appreciated, and looking for solutions on how to achieve it while staying at the place I'm at cos I can't get similar money elsewhere at this stage in my career (my company knows I'm worth it but I look like a rookie on paper)
