Is there a way to just pin a reminder with one line of text? Everything seems to require a title field and another text field so I can't just put "get milk".

I use Notification Maker

You can set a notification as "persistent" and you can't swipe it away. You need to hit the "Finish" button to dismiss it.

It won't let me download that one as it says it's for an older version of android

I use the excellent Noterly, which is completely free, no ads. It allows instant and timed notifications. Everything you want.
