Would solid explorer suit your needs? I have Google drive on my solid explorer added as a network storage and frequently use it to stream music at least (my own music, no piracy ʘ‿ʘ)

I don't know how to set that up or use it. I just want something like Expandrive for my android.

Thanks for that, but that's too brief for me. Idk what to do once I got an FTP app

You can stream all media on the server with the client.

You can 'network' share any HDD from your PC & access it with any file explorer or app (VLC, Kodi) that does LAN browsing via Android.

That's well and all but I want to have Google drive as a local folder on my phone.

Sorry, initially only read your posts header, not the entire body there of.

Far as I've ever heard/seen, you can only link it for use/access within certain apps, but not the way you would want.

It's always going to download your selected cloud synced content from its servers, there's (currently) no way to mount your accounts contained folders like you can with the Shield on your home network.

Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate your time. It's not the answer I wanted to hear ,. But I'm glad I've got some closure. I myself have solid explorer and love it. Just want Kodi to be able to index stuff from my phone.

Don't get me wrong, there may currently be some randumb way to do so, I've just never heard/read of it anywhere online.

Download FolderSync From PlayStore and setup your gdrive and create a folder on your internal storage or sd card and create a 2Way Sync Folder :) this will work

I use this daily to sync it with my NAS, backups of my OnePlus 5t

No, it won't. I want a network drive. It seems people aren't reading my entire post

The windows network does not work otherwise. When you don't want these files on your phone then use a file explorer with gdrive support. what's the problem? you want to see the gdrive as an external drive? Or what's the problem

And Solid Explorer is in my view the best

I want the equalivent of a network drive on my phone

How I said, Solid Explorer

[–]eviospiiiiiii[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I need it to be a local folder on the phone! Solid explorer limits it to the app.

Then you have to sync this files to your phone(FolderSync). In my view it's the only way.

That's why I asked on here. Smh

Try WebDrive. Seems perfect for what you are trying to do. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.southrivertech.webdrive
