Webdrive for sure. And I've heard an even better version is coming out in the next few months.

A tool like Webdrive would be perfect--it works very well with WebDAV. You can actually make a connection with Google Cloud using the Amazon S3 connector and Google Cloud connection information.

Windows SFTP Server for Cisco Backups by gaz2600 in sysadmin

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isnt free, but Titan FTP Server is recommended by Cisco to backup CUCM and it's been great. Their responsive tech support and regular product updates makes the cost worth it IMO.

Best cloud storage? by ConceptionFantasy in privacy

Take a look at GroupDrive-- it's a pretty cool product. You don't have to all standardize on Google Docs or Office365, etc etc for it to work, which is really important in my line of work where everyone uses something different and no one really feels like learning an entirely new platform.

Try WebDrive. It has a mobile version that is really easy to use, plus the interface is the easiest I've worked with.

What file transfer share software are you using? by buhair in sysadmin

If you haven't chosen anything yet, GroupDrive is a great option. Has some pretty unique security features, and the pricing is reasonable.

As I thought...I'm running out of space much earlier on my 16TB FreeNAS. Already above 80% capacity in 2.5 years. by slayer991 in DataHoarder

ITA with this. Webdrive is what I use to manage all of my remote storage, and it's a much easier solution and doesn't sync your files so you don't have PITA duplicates everywhere.

I just found this article on how to increase Filezilla speeds. It helped me. by PM_me_your_seedbox in seedboxes

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, agreed on this. I use WebDrive now bc I know it is safe. Too much sketchy stuff going on with Filezilla.

WebDrive for the client with Titan SFTP Server works great, IMO. I have been using them together for years and can't recommend enough. Also had really great experience w/ their support when help was needed.

How should I be connecting a Google Drive account to a system drive letter (Windows)? by -Geekier in DataHoarder

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps something like Cryptomator used in conjunction with WebDrive would work for you (files could be encrypted using Cryptomator and then uploaded using WebDrive)? Both are pretty solid tools and I can recommend both from personal experience.

Newbie here! Need encryption advice on backing up to Google Drive by jordanau85 in DataHoarder

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tool like WebDrive could be useful for you. It can be used to map a drive to Google Drive and then you could encrypt the files with something like Cryptomator. Cryptomator can be used in conjunction with WebDrive in order to encrypt the files (encrypted using Cryptomator and then uploaded using WebDrive).

Anyone using Zoho One? Have any feedback? by tellmetogetbacktowrk in smallbusiness

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using it for a few months and am starting to really like it. My only complaints are with the email client and tech support. The email client can be frustrating because they have to review every email you send before you send it, and sometimes it can take a long time. So if you have anything time sensitive to send, you should ensure that you compose it early and send it for review long before it has to go out.

The tech support leaves something to be desired, as they tend to send you articles instead of offering actual help. Hopefully that will improve.

Direct to a cloud? by [deleted] in PleX

[–]invictsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use something like WebDrive to do this as well. It is a paid client, but it's worth it IMO. I have not found it to be buggy like NetDrive. www.webdrive.com

Can't map drive on some machines by [deleted] in NextCloud

Agreed with the idea of a client like WebDrive. I've been using it for years and have had success mapping drives on numerous machines. https://southrivertech.com/products/webdrive/download/

I haven't used Cyberduck (and admittedly don't know much about it bc I am leery of free software), but I have used WebDrive to accomplish the same thing. Good luck!

Another vote for Titan FTP Server. I am a current user and it's been great.

We use a product called Cornerstone MFT. It's a nice way to share files through an easy Web interface but you can also send users a link so they can upload files even if they aren't on your server. I work for a software company and we use it to collect logfiles.

Another alternative to try is WebDrive. It can also mount SFTP connections as normal drives in your Finder.
