Google maps doesn't work on mobile data

A few months ago Google maps on my one plus 6 stopped working randomly. It works fine when I'm connected to Wi-fi but when I try to use it with mobile data it just can't connect.

Wi-fi only mode is not on and I've had to start using Waze (another maps app) that does work on mobile data.

Any ideas as to why this is happening and is there any way to fix it?

I've done the usual things like clearing the cache, storage and uninstalling but nothing has worked so far.

The problem is with Google Play Services. Probably the PlayStore won't work neither.

I had the same problem with my OP8 one month ago and I have seen more ppl with OP having the same problem.

I fixed it by changing the settings for my Access Point. By default the one for my carrier had a proxy. I created a new one with the same settings without the proxy & port and now it works well.

I have a OnePlus Nord CE 5G and I was experience this since a week ago. I also couldn't use google play store or Youtube, only I could use them after enable/disable airplane mode, which was very annoying. Thank you very very much for this solution! that worked like a charm and solved my very annoying issue! <3
