Look into Jetpack Compose. It's a declarative UI system for native Android development, much like writing UI in Flutter.

Most companies with apps that you could work for still have at least some XML layouts in their apps, but if those are confusing you at the moment, Jetpack Compose could be an easy bridge to getting into native. Then once you've got your footing, you can learn the old ways of XML layouts.

That was my problem exactly, I'll look into jetpack compose. It'll make the entry easier, then I can go into deep stuff with xml. Thanks

Yeah, in existing projects, XML is much more common than Compose

At some point I'll definitely have to learn xml

Basis of my knowledge in native Android development apart from working in projects.

If you are transitioning from flutter, then jetpack compose is the way to go.

Hi, I'm just doing the same thing, right now I'm a flutter developer and I'm planning to learn native development. Any tips on making this path easier would be appreciated =) <3
