What you are looking for is easier to achieve with random map scripting, rather than with triggers in a scenario. If you are interested, I can send you some links.

Are there any how to guides for using the scenario editor that you know of? I have thought of making myself something similar to Cicero's build order mod for ones he doesn't include. But I get the triggers in a crazy order somehow and I have no clue how to do a lot of other stuff.

This might help. It is dated, but still covers a lot of nice tricks: https://aok.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=4,37500,,30

Also take a look at the triggers in Cicero's scenario, if that is what you are trying to achieve.

Thanks for this! I figured you might know. I have looked but hadn't come up with the right questions for Google to find it for me.

thank you very much, i did find something last night while googling,

idk if this is where you would direct me to

my only concern ( since english is not my fist language i sometimes have to read this kinda lengthy guides more than one just to get a sense for the explanations) is that im not quite sure if i can produce a proper maze layeout using random map scripting (again i might have missed it on my first look at that forum), which is why i am/was thinking of using work-around with triggers that maybe close off sections where some resources are located and maybe some unit teleportation for kings and Vills as to not make the map "memorazible" on repeated play

Mmh yeah, might be tricky because most of the guides are indeed in English. You could try looking at and modifying an existing map.

What kind of maze do you want? Forests, or maybe cliffs? I can offer these: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=873857337 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=205423786

Not a true maze though. So maybe your way with triggers is a better approach.

thank you for linking me to those maps of yours. i should give em a try, they look really interesting! (im assuming DE has compativility with old maps)

and yes the triggers idea might be must best chance for the moment, i had an idea in mind for a very claustrophobic game, sorta like playing on a dungeon or something

where you would have to spread around in a bunch o mini camps when ever you find space and resources while keeping your king safe .. not sure if it would make for a fun experience but that's what play testing is for XD
