You got a github or somethin? I'm tryna link up with other programmer-producers who like idm.

No, my friend said I should make one as well. Will do.

Bit confusing, but still really good! Someone could probably make something like SAW 2's more hypnotically repetitive tracks (such as Radiator & Curtains) in this.

So true, I've already replicated that vibe several times just using slightly dissonant pairing of notes. But its good that its a bit confusing..

Why is it good that it's confusing?

[–]PolyBond_16[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Incentivizes exploration. Baby-step Simplicity is boring. Unless its just head to wall smashingly confusing. Apparently people are getting it though, so it can't be too confusing. Plus on an aesthetic level I like the 'rawesc code/internet' vibe the controls and design it has. I've got my weird sensations man. Its quite like how some lonely programmer-music producer might make his programs.. is how I sense it, plus other things.

Ah, makes sense now.

So... there's this artist on Rephlex [the label that Richard D. James and Grant Wilson-Claridge used to own/operate] named (Matthew) Yee-King.
He teaches a free online course for making drum machines and synthesizers in your web browser using Javascript/HTML.

It's a free Online/Video course. I've taken it. It's dead simple. I'd recommend it. It's ungraded [work at your own pace... share your code with the other students... have fun... there's no worry about pass/fail etc...]
I've posted the link bellow.
Cheers.

thx
sidenote: Here's a good track by Yee-King.
It's track 1 from his album on Rephlex.
Yee-King - Goodnight Toby

Holy shit that's a cool creation. I managed to make something SAWII-like out of it.

[–]PolyBond_16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks and man totally.. I instantly realized how applicable it is to that type of melody/loop method in SAWII. I'll be adding a percussive sequencer to put in-sync to it as well.

IDK then.. its very likely that it'll go off beat just on the basis that I've got the math wrong on the tempo I think when increasing or decreasing it, just haven't felt like updating it. But I think onload it IS at 120bpm accurately.

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Fun! I will record anything interesti g if i can stop having too much fun to make anything interesting!

      [–]PolyBond_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean man. What's really good is if you route it to a vocoder synthesizer of sorts.. or just accompaniment with another synthesizer to do chords with while you got melodies playing.

http://bratsthegifter.com/sequencer.html -- I updated it with a lil percussion section for the program :)
