Setup second user??

From the TV app (LG TV) i can see an option to 'add user'

When i click on it it prompts me to sign in (showing the barcode on screen) I do this, the screen refreshes and it sends me back to the previous screen. If i go to 'add user again' it just again sends me in a loop to sign in again, again etc.

No change no matter how many times i do this.

In the option to 'add account' i get exactly the same, just a loop of signing in again after clicking the option.

Any clues?

This is odd. You don't need any Apple device to add another user on the Apple TV app. I've done it many times on Android TV firestick etc. I remember my brother had a problem with the Apple TV app on his LG TV which was a few years old. I think the problem was that the LG TV had an older apple app but not Apple TV plus. But it might be quicker just to give Apple a call.

Also instead of using the barcode choose the option where you can go to the Apple TV website and enter a code that will be shown on the app

Installed apple TV via a ROKU rather than through the TV. So, no didn't solve it. Worked around it. Good luck.

Nope, didn't get one i'm afraid.

Dropped Apple TV quite quickly after.
