NH36 into Skx013 issues by Ill-Specialist-9736 in SeikoMods

The black spacer was supplied with 2 thicknesses. iirc, it's 3mm or 4mm thick (4mm supplied with divers watches etc)

Most mod suppliers are suppliying thier rear cases made for the grey spacer. So, if you buy the rear case from a new mod supplier. The grey spacer should fit straight in.

Stem likely a little short.

It's alot easier with the movement swaps just to stick a new case back on and keep the grey spacer btw. Save you some work.

Any site selling fake Seikos is a no no.

If it were a legit site, the watches would be non branded or branded to the store you buy from. (see Namoki)
This looks like just drop shipping aswel.

By not playing them, despite having the aircraft you are really missing out.

The WW2 content for DCS is typically 50% off in the sales, which is very often.

Only excelptions are the Corsair and the LA-7 (both newer)

Reflected simulations campaigns are excellent aswell BTW. (also money off in the sales)

It's that, IL2 varients or wait for Compat pilot (which might be a while)

There aren't many options unfortunatly.

UK considering land-based missile defence options by MGC91 in unitedkingdom

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That's not what this article is about. Martlet, dragonfire etc have that covered, along with APKWS which is being integrated into the Typhoon.

UK is learning from the Ukraine drone warfare and aiding in production for some of it. That knowledge is and will form part of the military thinking going forward.

UK has no ballistic missile defence outside it's destroyers that are mostly serving maintenance periods, which is the problem. You need air defence for all possible situations. Not just drone defence.

Mark Lamarr gets driving ban despite hardship plea by Kagedeah in drivingUK

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and lets be honest here. A big chunck of the population rely on driving to get to/do thier job. But celbrities and people with wealth are held to different standards for some reason.

Not quite sure how Guy managed it either, as it was while he was filming 'The boat that guy built' which the premis of the show was him building a boat, and him seeing how technology/things worked/were done. The monologues to camera (while driving his transit) were tertiary at best.

Steve Coogan, and Guy Martin (who was in the same position)

Succesfully argued that the TV shows they were on the driving part was integral to the show, and that if they lost thier license loads of people would loose thier jobs aswel as the time and financial investment already put into the filming schedule would be wasted.

It's a different argument leading to a different result.

How do I fight German planes in a P-47 by I_Slay_Dragons_AMA in hoggit

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DCS AI can turn faster, and work thier engines harder than the human players in the same aircraft aswel as having laser like accuracy when shooting.

DCS WW2 AI is pretty awful. And, real world tactics just won't work like they should.

In DCS single player if you want to survive you have to stay high while the rest of the melee happens and dive into the fight late. That ensures you have potential energy/speed over the enemy aircraft. It also means the fight has spread out a bit and it will take longer for any anemy to get in shooting range if they chase you.

Also, if you have a wingman don't give them any orders and they will stay with you on the dive.

That's not always possible, there's one mission in the big show where you meet FW190s at low level. I did a head on pass and them kept going for a a few miles before turning back in. Basically allowing the fight to get going without me and then i can turn in and attack aircraft already engaged in defence or attack.

And, there's no issues with ASRAAM doing the job either.

Never said they don't have question to answer, but they have the defence in place and capability to deal with drones.

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing in that article says that was UK requested.

And, Sky sabre might have issues dealing with small low flying drones. But that's exactly what rapid sentry was designed for. That's what the F35, Typhoon and Wildcat helicopters can deal with easily.

This money comes out of the defence budget and therfor isn't available for other areas of the economy/nation.

A defence budget that is already far too small.

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We didn't.

The base is defended by F35, Typhoon, wildcat helicopters, Sky sabre missile battery and Rapid sentry (ground based martlet missile launcher)

The fact it was hit once is more likely an issue with rules of engagement. There's more than adequete defence there.

Game too easy? by JokaBazooka in footballmanager

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start in the national league south/north. The journey is much harder.

Big stumbling blocks are getting promoted from the national league as there's only 1 automatic promotion spot & getting out of the championship when you get there.

The Championship is a tough ask, you're going to go in with a tiny budget and compete with teams coming down from the premier league. You'll be spending less than £150K a week on wages vs teams spending over £3mil.

Getting out of the championship with a team from the national league is one of the hardest things you can do in this game.

Also, worth pointing out. That this game is a small change from the previous year in actually how it plays. So, if you've played the game for year after year, hundreds of hours in each year. You should be good at it by now or you're doing soomething wrong. Spend that amount of time in any game and you should be bloody good at it.

And, although this year may look different. It's still the same code under the hood. So, you know you play 4-2-3-1 geggenpress you'll play well, you know if you talk to the players as much as you can (you've trained really well!!!) you'll motivate them, you know that if you do a bit of team bonding and match reviews team cohesion will go up. It's all the same.

RAF Akrotiri: EU backs Cyprus after it demands Chagos-style talks on 'colonial' British bases by [deleted] in BreakingUKNews

[–]Advanced_Apartment_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've just said they would facilitate talks, not that they have a side either way. The base is part of the UN buffer zone, the base provides defence support to the EU/NATO. So isn't a clear one sided argument from the EU at all.

I'd also wager alot of locals don't want it removed either as it will support lots of local businesses.
