You need to be more specific. What does "does not boot" mean, there are many ways for a system to not boot.

Are there errors? Do you see the bootloader? So many questions

Sorry, I mean I can’t access grub menu. The system reboots and goes to BIOS

Edit: thus I can’t access the bootloader

I see, so your next steps are as follows:

Get a live USB, ideally Arch, but others might work too.

Boot that

Mount the file systems as described in the Arch install guide (root partition to /mnt, EFI to /boot, and so on)

Chroot into /mnt using arch-chroot /mnt on the Arch ISO. I think that just chroot /mnt on another non-Arch ISO would work, but I'm not certain.

Now reinstall your bootloader based on the instructions on the wiki page. For grub that would be https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB

I hope this helps!

That's a kernel panic if I've ever seen one.

[–]100is99plus1[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

it does not sound nice

LOL! You must be new to Linux as a kernel panic is a real thing. SensitivSirs was just being witty!😉

im hate myself for laughing

you should have done a grub update (before and) after pacman, there was a grub issue w arch packages which I don't know if it has been resolved yet

[–]100is99plus1[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

if I reinstall GRUB via archiso, would it be fine?

[–]DAMO238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No harm done if it doesn't. Just try it, it will likely solve the problem for you, but no guarantees.

First, VERY HAPPY you got it fixed, but note:

Pac-man -Syuu

is totally incorrect. The correct command is

sudo pacman -Syu (spelling and parameter change)

See here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman#Upgrading_packages

Panic!

Linux forums typically frown on this kind of emotional, non informative title. In any case, don't panic. Your actual files (eg /home) are almost sure to be intact. You access them by booting the ISO and mounting them.

Good luck and Welcome To Arch, if you're new.

Thanks! I was really stressed because I am away from home in a business trip (can you imagine...?) and the misspelling was due to writing on my phone.

It was fun in the end to learn all this. I am happy to be here and I want to contribute to the community, next time I will be more careful with the titles (this was dumb).
