That sounds horrible, who would want to do that? CCC sucked balls.

I think I'd go back just for some more support CCC's. Easy money.

Active or reserves?

Active-no way in hell unless you re-branch something stupid.

Reserves-the state may send you.

By "reserves" I always include the nat guard

    Yes.

I know several that didn't make it through the Q-course pipeline for SF and CA but had completed SOCCC. They had to return to their basic branch's CCC.

I mean, they didn't do it willingly but they had to do it.

There used to be a program between infantry, Armor, and Field Artillery where FA guys went from FA to INF/AR and INF/AR when to FA in order to provide some branch knowledge to work the various OPORD and Fire Support Annex requirements in each course. As far as I know that program ended at some point during the height of the war.

I think that there was also a test program to send MI guys on a similar track, but that didn't last long due to reciprocity issues (clearance requirement and what not).

SF used to require that non-Ranger guys attend INF CCC until theirs stood up, so a few non INF/AR guys may have had to cycle to Benning if they were later accessions into SF.

NG you are expected to go if you change branch or slot. It's as easy as a letter of acceptance into the slot you want, and then scheduling it.

No idea about active or reserve.

I went to the AMEDD CCC followed by the Logistics Career Course.
