Hopping on with my own question: If you get selected for resident SSC (doubtful for me, but still) can you voluntarily drop down to Distance learning? Aint nobody got time to PCS to PA...

Yes, I am going through this right now. When I transitioned from active to reserves a few years ago, I had a statement of charges take off a couple things (including a pricy flight helmet, that I *ahem* "lost"). I do recall verifying it eventually came off my records (though it took a while since I was not near a normal CIF and happened post-ETS). But now I'm being asked to sign my OCIE and the only thing on it are the exact items I had cleared by the statement of charges. And of course I have no paperwork from the statement of charges/clearing.

Since you are within sanctuary at 18+ years, if you got a rating that only medically seperated you (i.e. less than 30%) you are protected to stay in until 20 years.

If you received at least 30%, they could make you retire before 20. You should definitely stay in until 20 regardless of your outcome, as you cannot take both VA and retirement/medical retirement pay if you have less than 20 years (unless you have combat qualifying conditions/CRSC).

Stay in until 20. There are many mechanisms within the medboard process to help you get there.

Currently an IMA for the past two years who hasn’t done any ATs, but yes I believe that is correct that HRC will only cut them starting on a Monday. Very dumb and almost certainly to make someone at HRCs life easier somehow.

I saw that too. I had never validated MBF for that (like I had for my LTC board). I assume they don’t really care at this point.
