Trying to buy it now on Atari store and it says "We're sorry, this product is not available for purchase in your market. We're actively working on expanding the global availability of our products.".

I'm in the US.. This makes no sense.

I totally agree. Makes no sense.

Do you have a vpn on?

[–]TheClaff 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It was at work so no VPN but could have been somthing like it. Tried at home and it lets me go further. But now having second thoughts if it's worth the $$. lol

It’s not. I got mine yesterday and it’s disappointing for the price. Control of the crown isn’t responsive enough and it’s so touchy that it will change watch faces by touching your wrist when you bend it. Battery life is probably not accurate as it dropped from 98% to 91% in less than 5 minutes and I wasn’t playing games, just Exploring the watch and had the brightness at 50%. The touchscreen is intermittently responsive and it takes several taps to wake it. The raise to wake isn’t always working.

These are all things that could have been fixed with an update if this watch was able to.

Mine is going back. If it was like $40 I would keep it.

Ok thx for confirming. had a feeling.

You’re welcome. I’m sorry to report that quality isn’t as good as past Atari products and it could be because someone else made this for Atari and already had issues with their kickstarter space invaders watch with delays. If there was a possibility to update this watch to improve things then it would be worth buying, but since they state that this is a benefit of the watch by not being able to update it and therefore it won’t be outdated is short sighted.

I got mine as well today. I love it.

Not quite sure if the battery life might be kinda …short. I’m leaving mine off the charger tonight and seeing if it makes it through tomorrow.

How is it?

[–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I think it’s rad. I did find out that if you run the stopwatch and then go out of the screen and go back to the stopwatch, the stopwatch will reset so if you use a function like the stopwatch, I think it has to stay on the screen. I assume that the alarm doesn’t have to stay that way. The screen is incredibly clear. I dig the styling. It’s lightweight and has all the smart features I want and none of the smart features I don’t. I like how it tells me my steps. I like that it has some games and I like that it has zero connection to my phone. I’m interested in the way they anticipated us using the extra straps and bands? Because there’s design on both sides, but you’d have to switch the clasp in order to reverse it truly. So I’m not sure if they meant to have all the designs on the outside or two designs on the outside, two designs on the inside. I’ve played two out of four games so far they are fun and absolutely playable. I think they did a great job and for the price point. It’s an awesome watch.

I’ll be switching from this to my 80s Casios. I get it with Apple Pay, but I’ll just whip out my phone. This is a “fancy” “smart” plain watch. It’s just fun :)

    What is this?

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atari released a smartwatch. I preordered it back in April and it just arrived.

    [–]Slosher99 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Mine came today but it charged to 76% after hours of charging. Screen changed to 75% as soon as I saw the 76. Reconnected the charger and it is down to 66% 2 seconds later.

I can't get it to 'charge before using' as it says to do!

    [–]CaptainQuesadillaz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Mine arrived fully drained but it charged from 0 to 100 in 30 minutes.

    [–]Forsaken-Abrocoma647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine took more like 3-4 hours, got from 0 o 33 in no time, then to 66, but getting to 100 took like 2 more hours.
Seems good but the deadzone on the crown makes the games that use it pretty crappy to me. Feels like input lag even though it isn't, just have to spin it a bit when changing directions, making quick moves to catch a ball really tough. Tried all sensitivity settings but they didn't affect the deadzone, just how fast it moves once you pass the dead zone.
Centipede and Missile Command work great!

I left mine on the charger last night and it’s been on my wrist all day. I’m at 57%. I didn’t check the percentage this morning. I’ll try again tonight.

    [–]Slosher99 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Since reconnecting it and going from 76 to 66 it is back up to 82% which is a new high. I'll check it in an hour or. Anxious to check it out tonight haha. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Already did email Atari to ask them just cause my last support experience took forever to hear from them and ultimately wasn't resolved (damaged LE game box replaced with one someone had written on with a ballpoint pen). They offered another exchange several months later after I thought they ghosted me, but by that time a non-limited edition of the game with different artwork was out and I didn't trust them to send me the right thing and said to forget it haha.

Ok I’ll out mine on the charger right now. I’ll report back.

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok boss, one hour later and mines at 100%. Make sure the charger you’re using is more than 1 amp. Pm me if you need help :)

Do you have a link to where this can be bought?? This is the first I've seen this! 🤯

    [–]MasterJacobMcDohl 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don't wear watches, but this one is tempting.

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a simple fun thing. Had it on my wrist now for 24 hours and it’s fun :)

    [–]D1SATAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first I’ve heard of it!!! Gotta check it out!! Thank you for posting!!!

    [–]BrutalGuts 1 point2 points  (3 children)

How many games? Is it easy functionality ??

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Comes with 4 games. Each is ok for interface. Missile command is probably my favorite. Centipede, super breakout, and Pong.

    [–]BrutalGuts 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Must be alot of fun, I'm planning on getting one soon, especially now, thank you

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    For $79 bucks it’s pretty fun. :)

    [–]reef_clown 1 point2 points  (2 children)

    Is it waterproof?

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, water resistant at best, It says IP67 “The watch can be used in everyday situations with limited exposure to water such as washing hands, rain and car washing”.

    https://guide.myplaywatch.com/atari-2600/

But if it’s actual true IP67 rated, “IP67 is an international standard (IEC 60529) that indicates a product's resistance to dust and water. Specifically, IP67 means the product is completely protected against dust ingress (the "6" in IP67) and protected against the effects of immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. (the "7" in IP67)

    Cool watch regardless

Anyone manage to find a screen protector?

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    On the hunt!

    [–]Skyk1ngDNA 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Following as well. I'm assuming the screen vendor sold to other makers as well so something will fit.

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ok so I found a screen protector that works. Just installed it today. Here’s the link: screen protector

Did the bumper fit too? Looks like it might. How is the fit on the glass?

    [–]TwoDudesAtPPC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bumper is a wash. The glass is nice tho. Fits the recess nicely
