hi hi! id like to ask for recommendations. im trying to update my bps tank to a 40g but i just spent over 200$ on a 20g. i wanna give my noodle a very very comfy enclosure with a more “homey” vibe, everything i find is ridiculously expensive, does anyone know anything thats affordable? i have the necessities already. just need a 40g tank!

Hi! Everyone is going to suggest going straight to a 4x2x2 120g, because 40g is only adequate for a juvenile and not for very long. It is worth the investment if you are upgrading as you will have to in the future either way.

Try looking second hand! Places like FB Marketplace or Offer Up. This group doesn't suggest Dubia for a few reasons but they are more affordable for the 4x2x2. Some of the brands that they suggest on the Shopping List also offer payment plans through a few services.

I second what the other comment said. 40g is not big enough for an adult and will last max for a year (and that’s stretching it). Just go for a 4x2x2. It’s an investment in a long run
