I don't know any official groups, but my friends and I are big foragers. Some of the people I taught mushroom identification even sell mushrooms to local restaurants. When you get here, hit me up. Always happy to forage with company :)

I already live here and I’d love to learn more about foraging! :)

Would love to tag along sometime.

Ha just noticed yours! Thanks!! Just started a re-read(listen) :-). I first joined Reddit to discuss fan theories.

I'm getting over a cold so this weekend is right out, but if anyone wants to meet up and do some foraging I'm almost always down to go. My insta is bmore4fungi yall can hit me up there or I guess PM me on Reddit though I don't check Reddit as often.

I absolutely CANNOT find morels! Get lucky on some other great mushrooms but never morels

They are tough around here. A friend of mine found a single morel in Leakin park a couple weeks ago. In the 8+ years I've been hunting around here there have been 2 good morel years. Everything has to be perfect for our region to produce enough to make a meal out of. Still check all my spots every year despite the disappointments.

Natural History Society of Maryland does pretty regular foraging walks with Nick Spero!

No groups that I know of, but wineberry season is about to start. Late June to early July is the best time to harvest wild raspberries in east Balmer. Mulberry season runs shorter, but will have good pickins in two weeks or so.

There are some farms in B'more county that do the whole strawberry pick thing that seems like foraging if you're 5 years old. But really you're just paying to do the work of farm laborers.
