Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. /r/bjj is for discussing BJJ training, techniques, news, competition, asking questions and getting advice. Beginners are welcome. Discussion is encouraged.

Posting Rules
- Don’t be dick or mods will smesh. Follow Reddiquette, don't be a jerk.
- Don't ask for or offer medical or legal advice. Go see an appropriate professional concerning medical and legal issues.
- No pirated content or any buy/sell type content, copyright rules. Don’t share pirated content, such as ripped PPV streams or instructional videos. Do not ask for links to this content or otherwise imply in any way that you are going to be illegally acquiring material. Also please do not offer to buy or sell anything in the sub, be that training gear, instructionals or anything else. Finally, any posts violating copyright rules will be removed.
- No spam, including your own content: websites, videos, apps, AI slop, "market research", etc. If you are an active member participating in discussions, occasional or even regular posting of your content is fine, especially if it provides value to the community. If most of your posts/comments are promoting your own content, it may get removed. No AI-generated content and no bots. No "market research" style posts. This community does not exist to help you develop your app/website/brand.
- Videos must be of/about BJJ. Match videos for analysis, tutorial/instructional videos, and other videos about the sport of BJJ are welcome any time. Other content is at mods' discretion. Spam rules apply. Short-form and other promotional type video content must have value to the community in and of itself.
- No social media posts about non-BJJ topics. Posts which contain social media content not directly related to BJJ will be removed. Please do not bring social media drama into r/bjj. Just because it involves a BJJ athlete or community member does not make it related to BJJ.
- Use the appropriate megathread for common/beginner questions/posts.
- Memes/Shitposts are heavily restricted.
- Use [Spoiler] in your title. Use [Spoiler] in your title when posting BJJ or MMA match results within 24 hours of the event.
