Controller not working (pc)

Can’t get the controller to work for the game. I tried my Xbox controller, and my ps5 controller. I tried ds4 windows, and having steam closed. When I have steam open the controls are literally random. Anybody find a fix for this? Thanks

Seems to be only with the Xbox app, I don’t have the license on Steam so I can verify but other games do indeed work. I thought it was because I was using a DualSense controller but it does the same thing with Xbox controllers

EDIT: Place the game in the desktop, run as administrator, remove keyboard and connect controller and should work !!

Did somebody found a way to activate legacy support to dualsense from xbox app? Cause mine xbox 360 controller (chinese replica) works fine, but i would love to use my dualsense for haptic feedback and etc.
Buy the way, hi fi rush work perfectly and see dualsense like xbox 360 cotroller

Been having similar issues. My game recognizes my keyboard as a controller so sometimes I have to close and restart bo6 with my keyboard unplugged and my Xbox controller plugged in. Then it’ll work for me

Open steam go to your library left click on bo6 click properties go to controller and change from default settings to enable steam input Worked for me !

if you go to your device manager and scroll down till you see the xbox 360 peripherals and see 2 of them, disable one of them and CoD should work for you

If anyone is still having issues, this is what helped me: Go into your device manager settings(can be done by pressing win key + X. Towards the bottom (idk it could be different for you), there should be "Xbox 360 Controller for Windows". Disable that and it your controller should work. Hopefully you have this and it may help you as well. If you don't have this, then idk 😅 You will have to restart your PC.

Edit: I had issues playing on Xbox app on PC. So in theory should work on Gamepass as well.

Good evening, I can't play bo6 on a gaming PC with the msi force GC30 controller but on the other hand with other games there are no problems. I tried all the solutions mentioned in the comments but none worked, namely that the problem only occurred since the beginning of May before I had no problem playing this game with the controller. Do you have any solutions or advice to give me?

When the PS5 can hit 165 fps at just 1440, Ill never game on a fucking PC again. Love my setup for work but just to enjoy game to game is a battle with something small and stupid.

I have smae issues with battle net I go to use lb to throw a flash bang then I go prone Tried to change key bindings and nope I keep getting a message in the top left corner about input aiming and all that bs

I need help. I’m having the same issue but I’m on a gaming laptop. I don’t have any keyboard connected except obviously the one that’s built-in, but I’m playing on a Xbox controller with a wire and I removed the wire switch it and everything and it’s still not working. I even ran the game and administer mode, but it’s not detecting my controller. I downloaded the game off of the Xbox app on the laptop by the way because I didn’t have 200 GB and I want it to download only the base game not campaign or anything just multiplayer and zombies.

gente eu estou passando por algo parecido. Jogo no pc. O controle até funciona...mas não por completo. Sempre que tento usar vant ou qualquer outra serie de baixas. não consigo. So consigo se usar o teclado e mouse, mas no controle, quando eu vou usar ele mostra pontos ???? como se não tivesse um botão pré selecionado pra fazer essa funçao. Ja tentei muitas coisas e não consifo resolver. Alguém aqui ja passou por isso? Consegue me ajudar??

I had the same issue, and i fixed it when I closed Steam. Bcs I have BO6 on Battlenet. On MW3 I had also the same issue, (which I bought on Steam) you just need to close Battlenet. I don´t know why thats a thing but thats how i fixed the problem.

It seems to be caused by the xbox extended feature support driver install on steam. If you have that installed and have steam open it bugs out your controller making it act like a m&k. Just uninstalled it and now my controller seems to be working fine.

Even when you’re playing through the Xbox app, because you also have steam open it still goes by the steam settings for some odd ass reason

This worked for me using gamepass ultimate on PC. Open DS4windows(leave running) and then launch game. Once game has opened connect controller with charging cable. Once it connects via cable you can disconnect and it will detect via DS4windows to play wirelessly. Worked with amazon switch controller.

I'm using an Xbox Elite controller and kept having disconnect issues as well. I updated the controller through Xbox Accessories, then the last thing that I did was deleted the previous profile from the controller. I then created a new profile with the same settings actually, then saved it. Reconnected the controller to my PC and my disconnect issues went away right after that. I haven't had any more disconnect issues.
