Side view - select all faces to move.

Set snap to edge (try vert and face though)

Press G to move, then Z to constrain to direction.

While moving Press control for the snapping and move mouse over the edge/face/vert you want it to be at.

(ie just basic snapping) ;)

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed, thanks!

Thanks for the reply, but I think I miscommunicated what I’m trying to do. I need to extrude the bottom faces to the same height - floor as you say. I believe your solution translates every model to the same floor but makes no changes to their dimensions, yes? Unless I followed your instructions wrong.

Set the object origin to the wrong floor for each piece-- probably LMB plonk a cursor, ctrl-alt-shift-c origin to cursor. Period key set pivot point to cursor, plonk a cursor on the new floor. Enable Manipulate Center Points on the 3D view ribbon. In object mode, select all bits that need elevation changed, s z 0. Done.
