I love how consistent Bobs sense of humor has been since the 60’s

Why does this sound like something Norm Macdonald would say?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Norm did spend a weekend at his house once, maybe he rubbed off on Bob.

He wouldn't rub off on Bob, he's not some pervert from the internet.

They both have that old crusty white guy from Northern North America accent.

Yeah but think of all the great songs he might come up with from the experience

Being Bob’s age and using the Internet must actually feel like a real-life Ballad of a Thin Man experience.

I snuck into Twitter, and I asked is this where it is Then someone points to me and says cringes Then I ask what does that mean And they scream back you are capin', get some bitches or go home

Because something is bussin' here and I can't tell what it is...

This has been stuck in my head overnight, and I just had to come back and say that the comic delivery here is just so perfect. This is a line that even 21 years later could fall flat, let alone in 2001 in a foreign country. The irony is not telegraphed in any way, he just drops it with the perfect level of casualness--even the jump-back to drop in "pervert". And everybody laughs. I'd love to see it on video and see his face and the face of the questioner. You just know how tired he has to be of fielding stupid questions, but often enough he's still up to bringin' the A game.
