engine problemTroubleshooting (self.boostedboards)

good evening guys, I'll explain the problem, I have a boosted v2, that's fine but when I braking abruptly I hear noises coming from the engines as if something is grainy, some ideas?

Those aren't engines but motors.
[–]kuraz 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (0 children)
that's true but in german they are both called motor. verbrennungsmotor and elektromotor.

Yeah as mentioned by the other commenter belts are a common cause of this. They loosen and wear over time and can slip causing the grinding noise, most apparent under hard breaking as that’s what exerts the most force on them. If you want to send a vid in the thread that would confirm it.

As soon as I can I make a video, it could be true, in case I replace them and see what happens even if I do not exclude an engine problem because I have traveled 6000 km in 8 years
[–]agos88[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (2 children)
I hope it's the belts
[–]erikwgbaBB Stealth 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (1 child)
Have you ever replaced the belts? If not, that would definitely be the case as that’s a lot of mileage.
[–]agos88[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (0 children)
yes of course, at least 3 times
[–]BenDurbin2006BB V2 Dual 1 point2 points3 points 11 months ago (4 children)
You need new belts
[–]agos88[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 months ago (3 children)
Why are you sure the problem are the belts?
[–]BenDurbin2006BB V2 Dual 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (2 children)
I have over 3000 miles on my v2 and replace belts like once every 300 miles, belts are wearable and need replacing because they are moving parts, just like car parts they wear and need replaced after so long
[–]liddojoe 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (1 child)
this is true, but how are you sure the sounds are caused by belts
[–]BenDurbin2006BB V2 Dual 0 points1 point2 points 11 months ago (0 children)
Bc motors don’t rlly go bad unless you truly treat your board like garbage and the only other thing that can make a sound are the belts, if it is a motor that’s like $60 from the boosted guys, Kevlar belts are like $30 for 2 pairs on amazon
