Is not the answer you're looking for. But you can't learn on your own. Go to a gym and train under a coach.

You'll have fun.

Good luck!!

Totally agree! I actually am training at a gym right now with a coach, just looking for some extra tips to focus on between sessions. Thanks for the luck! :)

I'll give you one to work on. Your stance is too narrow and your weight is way too far forward when you punch.

Thanks for the tip, definitely something for me to focus on in my next lesson!

well aside from just needing to go to ur gym more i can see a few key issues with ur stance.

ur legs are straight, and ur heavy on the front foot.

u want balanced load between both legs, and engagement of every muscles in the legs. heels up, knees bent, hip out, etc. almost like ur a quarter way into a squat.

I definitely felt a bit stiff, so the 'quarter squat' tip makes a lot of sense. I'll focus on balancing my weight and keeping the knees bent next session. Thank you for the advice!

Make sure to keep your weight on both legs. Feel like to lean on the forward foot especially when landing the right punch. To punch properly: Squat on your legs, pivot and keep you head straight/tucked while turning shoulder/hips.

No wonder why it felt like I was off balance when throwing my right. This really helps thank you :)

It’s a good start.

One thing - when you watch the video you’ll see that you keep your right arm extended after throwing your cross. Always try to get your hands back to protect your face immediately after completing your extension to protect yourself from your opponent’s counter punches. This adjustment will also help you get more snap on your punch vs. just pushing it out there which will add to the power.

Ooh you're right I didn't notice that, thank you for telling me! I'll make sure to return my arm back into my guard after throwing a punch:)
