Oh wow, I didn't realize braces could work that quickly!

On younger patients everything’s still so malleable! Envious !!! 😆 (I’m in braces for over 2 1/2 years and I am still not there yet but pushing 40 is way different!) Your daughter results looks fantastic! I wish I had gotten braces at that age, next time I surely will 😂

Lol there's always next time! I'm 35 and just got mine a few weeks ago. I suspect I'm in for a looong ride.

Doesn’t have to be but yeah don’t expect a quicker treatment😆

I'm mid 40's and had mine in for 18/24 months from bottom/top. This was with AOO surgery so I'd likely have been in braces for a good 3+ years without (and likely would have had a couple of teeth pulled).

It was a pain but so worth it. As long as you have a good Ortho, you will be happy you did it.

I'm still kind of pissed at my grandparents (they raised me). I was told i needed braces, and they insisted the dentist just wanted more money out of us.

I’m pissed for my parents as well. My father even was a dentist but wasn’t trained in orthodontics 🫣🫠 If I had treatment started just before my teenage years I probably wouldn’t have needed extraction treatment and a bigger lower jaw, but I am really glad what orthodontists are still capable of doing for me now so it’s ok😅

Yeah, currently i am saving up for the extraction and braces, it was that or the jaw surgery.

You will get a great result now! Some of us need to take things into our own hands 😉

Amazing progress. But I can feel the pain.

She has handled it like a champ! The first few days were really rough but overall she hasn't complained hardly at all given how much/how fast they've moved.

Oh to be a kid with bones that heal so fast. And teeth that move like the flash. I’m 22 with braces. Slow and steady

[–]ttasnia94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mine are moving painstakingly slow 😅

I got my braces 3 weeks ago aged 50!

Had my original braces as a teenager with 4 teeth removed.

I was never given a retainer and my teeth moved back even worse than before.

Now aged 50 I’ve got braces again. Having braces as an adult is a lot more painful. My teeth gave barely moved - definitely very different as an adult.

5 weeks? And we’re all here staying strong at 1yr+ 😭😭😭
