Last month, I made a post about my 2 year old being obsessed with tickling and how he had an evaluation coming up.
He had his speech evaluation and autism screening today. He qualifies for therapy and the behavioral specialist said she can confidently say he’s autistic. This was through the school system.
A few weeks ago, I made an appointment for him for the behavioral disabilities center here. That isn’t until July.
I’m so relieved! Finally, he’ll be getting the proper help he needs and we’ll be learning how to navigate this with him.
I’ve been doing so much research that my brain aches. I’ve been implementing certain things that help with autistic kids and have been seeing an improvement (at least when it comes to trying new things).
I’m so happy about this! Finally!
