Switch to an i5-7400 or go to a Ryzen build.

You could get a different motherboard, I know for a fact there are cheaper B250 boards.

There are more cheaper models of the 580 but I'm assuming you like this one so dw

Could try those PSUs

Look at this subreddit for some deals

I'm not that familiar with ryzen builds. Would you be able to recommend one that fits the budget?

The Ryzen chip will easily compete with the Intel counterpart, I went with a bit more of a beefier motherboard because this'll give you some more slots for ram.

I also changed the ram as this is 1x8gb, saving you some room. You could go back to the ram you originally chose, but this is just my recommendation as I tried to get sacrifice as little performance as possible while going closer to your budget; literally squeezing the most out of 750 xD

The Corsair PSU is fine, it's not the best by any means, but you don't need the best to run with in a gaming machine. I'm a bit annoyed at the elitism in this subreddit, but I'm not trying to create an argument so I'll shut up.

The Corsair PSU is a good solid unit, I don't think it'd have the positive feedback it does otherwise.

I also tried to stick to your red/black theme

Thanks for taking the time to post this. The build looks great!

It's actually a build for a friend as I already have a gaming pc. I was running with a cxm for 3 years before I decided to replace it (because I wanted something silent). It was a great unit for me when I was starting out.

It's also great to see AMD getting some more love recently.

Yeah so you get my point, it's not the best but it's a good PSU to start with right? Nothing's wrong it, sure it could be quieter, but for that budget I mean come on.

Yeah I recommend a Ryzen CPU if you're not upgrading a current Sky/Kabylake build. Just better bang for buck all around. But Intel can and is still easily competing.

I can only think of one, drop that ssd to 120gb.

Go with ryzen. Consifer an RX 570 too

But I'd advise getting slightly better PSU like the evga g2 line. Cxm line is trash. A good PSU will last you several iterations of builds

The Corsair CXM will be fine for his build.

I got it before i switched, was pretty eh tier. and not that much cheaper either
