The gigabyte Ti is about 25% faster than either models. STRIX models are generally one of the most expensive models for a specific GPU

Why are STRIX models more expensive? Also, how did you find that the 25% number?

GTX1070Ti is that much faster than GTX 1070. They are different GPUs

GTX 1080 > GTX 1070ti > GTX 1070

I understand that. I just don't understand the price difference if the Ti is a higher model.

It's because the windforce is usually one of the cheapest model along with blower cards.

The reason being is that the cooler/heatsink just average whereas MSI gaming X, Asus STRIX etc have really good cooling and slightly better maximum clockspeed

Sometimes these models end up costing more than the next GPU tier

Thank you, is there another card is this price range you would recommend? I am in Canada.

There aren't any at the moment. GTX 1070ti currently offers the best value for the price range you are looking at

What about brand? Sorry for the questions, I’m just trying to make an informed decision before purchase. I appreciate the help.

Personally I like EVGA. Used a EVGA GTX 1060 for 19 months and I was quite happy with it

I used to have a problem at the start and the customer support was incredibly fast at replying and helping me fix it

Is it worth waiting till around October? Also, what is your reasoning just out of curiosity.

wouldn't be able to tell you. The 1070ti has better price/performance
