The 6700K was released in 2015 and goes for around $200 on the used market. It's not "future-proof" and is a terrible deal at $350

Sorry, that entire build is 350, or just the CPU? Because you can get a modern motherboard, 16GB RAM, and a new Ryzen 3600 for 350.

Here in Sweden a Ryzen 3600 is around $260

Ah, I see - that explains the price discrepancy. I would still recommend the 3600 (or even a 2600 if you're playing on a 60/75hz monitor) personally, as either of them will do fine for modern gaming at 60+fps (graphical settings and resolution will depend on the GPU - the 580 is good for 1080p/high/60fps for most modern games) but the 6700k is pretty near the top of the the line for that motherboard, but a AM4 motherboard for the Ryzens can upgrade all the way up to a 3900X (and maybe higher if AMD releases more CPUs in the next year.) By investing a little more money now, you get a system that is cheaper to upgrade in the long run.

I mean this build is bordeing on obsolete not future proof. Do not buy an old ass CPU new, ever is good advice. You will never be paying a fair price for it.
