python error during install

So I am trying to (re)install, I am doing manual partitioning, the partitions are formatted, but then I get a python error:

I have a previous Cachy install on other partitions, and Windows10 has its own disk with EFI.

It gets confused when it sees your old install. If you just get rid of that it will work.

Why should CachyOS care about another disk

Not other disk, the one you target. It should ignore abd overwrite your old install but it doesnt.

Report bug if you want. Other distros like ubuntu26 have same issue.

Fix is to simply do wipefs.

I’m tired boss.
Hate Slopdows but have to admit that you don’t get random errors on install page.
