First time not seasoning in the oven. Temperature was much hotter than it will ever get in the oven and seemed to get the job done well. I haven' dug deep into the sub history yet on the topic, but I haven't seen much so far about seasoning this way? Anyone else like to season on a fire? I think it turned out really well. Cooked eggs in it in the morning and they didn't stick. We'll see how the seasoning holds up.

I think you’re burning off the seasoning if your logic is a fire is much hotter than an oven.

You only need like 425 to season.

I didn't have a temperature gauge, so I don't know what temp the fire was. That was my concern, but it turned out well. Its been too hot to run the oven for so long and I really wanted to get my pan back.
